Psychological therapy at Sanapurna Med offers exactly that: a professional, confidential space where you can work through what is happening and find a way forward. We work closely with colleagues across the practice — so if your situation calls for a combination of physical and psychological support, that collaboration happens naturally.

What is psychological therapy?
Psychological therapy is a structured, scientifically grounded process in which you and your therapist work together on psychological burdens, life themes or health challenges. It opens new spaces for action by examining your personal patterns, experiences, and internal resources.
At Sanapurna we work integratively: we take the close connection between body and psyche seriously. Stress sits in the neck, grief in the chest, anxiety in the breath. This physical level flows into our work — complementing reflective verbal therapy.
Cognitive behavioural therapy
Evidence-based work on thoughts, evaluations, and day-to-day behavior.
Depth-psychological elements
Understanding earlier personal shaping and its present unconscious effects.
Mindfulness and body-based methods
Nervous-system regulation through specialized breathwork, deep body awareness, and self-care.
Solution-focused approaches
Defining concrete steps, measurable life goals, and clear diagnostic procedures.
First Visit: What to Expect
The first session is a conversation — no pressure, no protocol. Your therapist listens to what has brought you in and what you are hoping for. From there, you decide together how to proceed. Sessions are 50 minutes. Frequency depends on what is right for you — weekly, fortnightly or as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. I'm not sure I need therapy – how do I find out?
Book a free 15-minute orientation call. We can listen briefly, provide an initial assessment, and discuss whether psychological therapy is the right tool for your path — or whether a separate discipline might fit better. No commitment.
2. Is therapy covered by health insurance?
Psychological therapy in this specific outpatient setting is processed via private payment. However, several Zusatzversicherung (supplementary) policies cover a distinct portion of complementary mental care. Check your individual policy parameters directly with your provider.
3. How long does therapy last?
It depends on your core concern. Defined symptoms (acute stress, sudden sleep disruption) often resolve within 8–16 sessions. Deeper somatic patterns or historical trauma require more space. We review progress openly together and close treatments consciously.
4. Is everything I share fully confidential?
Yes. Strict legal psychotherapeutic confidentiality applies across every step. Without your explicit consent, zero information goes to third parties — neither doctors, employers, nor family members.
5. What should I bring to the first session?
Please bring any prior psychological or medical reports (if relevant to your current focus), a clear layout of any active medications or supplements, and comfortable clothing.
